Montessori School for Young Children

Toddler Program (ages 18 months–3 years)  Our Toddler program is offered Monday through Friday from 8:45am–11:45am.  Children may enroll for 3, 4, or 5 mornings each week.  This class is led by Miss Suzanne who has been with MSYC for over 25 years and her assistant Miss Rumi.  Our Toddler students also receive the benefits of working with a music therapist two mornings each week.

Preschool Program (ages 3–6 years)  Students enrolled in our Preschool program can attend mornings, afternoons, or full-days.  All programs are offered Monday through Friday and students may enroll for 3, 4, or 5 days each week.  Our morning program is from 8:45am–11:45am and our afternoon program is from 12:45–3:45pm.  Full-day students attend from 8:45am–3:45pm and participate in our "Lunch Bunch" program from 11:45am-12:45pm.  Preschool families needing an earlier drop-off time may enroll their child in our Before Care program which begins at 8am.  The two Preschool classes are led by Directresses Miss Cindy and Miss Christie, who have a combined total of almost 20 years with MSYC.  Their assistants are Miss Kristin, Miss Rumi, and Miss Sharon.  Our Spanish Directress, Miss Barb, has been with MSYC for more than 25 years and works with students Tuesdays–Fridays.

MSYC functions on an academic calendar with a brief fall break, a two-week winter break, a week-long spring break, and the summer off.  During the summer MSYC offers a Summer Enrichment Program that traditionally runs 6–8 weeks with families given the option of enrolling by the week.  The summer program is offered only during our morning hours of 8:45–11:45am.

MSYC is a non-profit, parent-supported school. Our school thrives on parent involvement and input. Enrolling your child becomes a very enriching experience for both child and family. We are proud of the sense of community found at our school.

We encourage all interested families to call and schedule a time to come visit our school. An information packet may be requested at any time by contacting the school.

Thank you for your interest in the Montessori School for Young Children.
